- Membership Dues - - are due in January.
- Friday Night Meetings - normally held 8:00 pm, Room S17 Cramer Hall, Portland State University, on the second Friday of the month. ROOM S17 IS ON THE SUB-BASEMENT LEVEL OF CRAMER HALL, DIRECTLY BELOW THE GEOLOGY DEPARTMENT’S MAIN OFFICE.  
- 75th Annual GSOC Banquet - will be held again at the Monarch Hotel in Clackamas, Oregon, on Sunday, March 21, at 1:00 pm. Our speaker is Whitman College professor Bob Carson who will give a talk based on his new book, "Where the Great River Bends: A natural and human history of the Columbia at Wallula (2008). - Oregon Academy of Science - This year's meeting is being held at Concordia University in Portland, Oregon, on Saturday, February 27, from 8 am to 3 pm. A great opportunity to hear speakers from many scientific disciplines, including geology!
